All that wood, those dogs, that baby, that swing! I can’t say enough good things about this sweet family and their fabulous restored east Austin bungalow that I had the opportunity to photograph recently for Love Child Magazine. To read the full story about how these two babes met, how they’re preparing for baby numero dos, and all the details on this seriously Pinterest worthy home, read the article here.

I am so excited to finally announce what I’ve been working on for so long, my year long subscription package!
I’ve been doing an unofficial version of this for some time now, documenting a family multiple times over the course of a year or multiple years. I absolutely love it. It is literally my life’s work and passion. With increased requests, I’ve decided to formalize it to streamline everything for everybody. It’s a series of pre determined and floating portrait sessions to comprehensively document your family, at whatever stage they are in, over a year. The progression of time and how small, subtle changes can transform a person has always fascinated me. And of course, since becoming a mother, I’ve been equally obsessed and horrified with how much kids grow.
This was a wonderfully intimate session at home with the Rivera Family; I love how much of their personalities came thru from their Longhorn pride to their history as Ranchers. I often leave a session feeling a sense of warmth having had the opportunity to witness another family with so much love and in the case of the Rivera family, it was so so strong. Rafael, you are one very lucky little boy.
It’s my favorite time of year. The flowers are blooming, there’s music in the air (literally because, SXSW) and the rosé is flowing! I’m always so happy to be asked to photograph the release party for Dandy Rosé from the talented winemaker and sommelier, Rae Wilson from Wine for the People because it’s just the best time. Friends and strangers, young and old all pack together in the beautiful wine garden at Lenior to drink and celebrate. What’s not to love?
Here are my favorites from this third vintage release party. Cheers!
