She’s from Vietnam, he’s from California. They met as students at UT and fell in love with each other and Austin. Three years ago, they put a love lock on the pedestrian bridge and then moved away from their favorite city for work. Over Labor Day weekend, they came back for what she thought was just a visit. They walked the bridge at sunset and searched for their lock. Then he asked her to marry her and she said yes.
I was so honored to be asked to capture this surprise proposal and am so excited to finally share my favorites from this awesome session. Congrats, Anthony & Dung!
This was an incredibly romantic shoot in Austin, TX. These windows, this light and this couple- everything was perfect.
Here are some of my favorites from this recent engagement session. Congratulations, Rachel & Michael!
Since moving to Austin, I’ve strangely met several other people who were born and raised in Maryland, like myself but never anyone who has even heard of Capitol Heights, the town I went to high school in. Even stranger, Rachel, who grew up one county over from me and whose father owns a business down the street from my high school, doesn’t even live in Austin! A hairdresser in LA, Rachel is engaged to Todd, a real estate agent in NYC and I’m so glad they found me while they were in Austin (for the first time ever) and invited me to take their engagement portraits. Their NYC wedding is soon approaching and I wish them all the best! Here are some of my favorites from their sweet session at Mt. Bonnell.
